Week 16: Hoop, there it is!

When it hasn’t been raining, we’ve been building!

Matt and the crew have been busy getting the tunnels together. They constructed the hoops, put in the ground posts, got the hoops standing, and secured everything together. We have just one more to get standing, and then it will be time to pull plastic!

Since it’s raining today, we’re taking a little break from construction and doing something fun with Matt’s dad and uncle before they head back to New Mexico later this week. We’re so thankful they made the trip out to help us get these tunnels started!

It’s wild to think about, but we’re already looking ahead to winter! We’re currently finalizing our winter pickup locations, days, and other details so we can keep getting fresh produce into your hands even when the farm is tucked in and covered up (literally) for the season.

We’ll be sharing our winter pickup schedule soon, so keep an eye out! If you’ve been wondering how you’ll get your farm fix once the farmers markets wind down, we’ve got you covered. We’re excited to keep the fresh produce coming through the winter months!

For now, we’re going to enjoy these last few days of tunnel building help while we can and hopefully get that last hoop standing soon!
