Week 15: Another *rad* week for shares!
Hi Everyone!
We’re going to keep it short and sweet this week (though you know how that usually goes!). The online store is open now through Tuesday at midnight:

This week’s share will include:
• Salad Mix
• Collard Greens
• French Breakfast Radishes
• Lemon Basil
Another week of French breakfast radishes? Lucky you! These little beauties are both a market and seasonal favorite. They always sell out quickly at markets and retail locations, so we wanted to make sure you get a chance to enjoy them while they’re still around.
A note from a previous blog: Collard greens are the sturdy workhorses of the leafy greens world. They can handle heat, long cooking times, and lots of flavor. A few easy ways to use them:
Classic Southern style: Simmer low and slow with garlic, onion, broth, and a splash of vinegar until tender.
Quick sauté: Chop and cook in olive oil with garlic for 5–10 minutes, then finish with lemon juice or hot sauce.
Wrap it up: Blanch the big leaves for a few seconds and use them like tortillas for grains, beans, or meats.
Add to soups and stews: Collards hold their shape, making them perfect for hearty soups and braises.
We also whipped up baba ghanoush for a potluck using mixed Asian eggplant and lemon basil. The theme was Cold Bowls, so for the “Veg Forward” category we’re bringing baba ghanoush with carrots, celery, baby zucchini, sweet peppers, and pita for dipping.
If you can’t fit basil into your meal plant next week, it’s an herb that you can keep for the winter by drying or freezing it!
Thanks as always for sticking with us and cheering on the farm through every season. We couldn’t do this without your support! Don’t forget to get those orders in by Tuesday at midnight so we can harvest fresh just for you.
Here’s to another week of good food and full plates!
